2A Muscatine, Iowa, Journal May 3, 1984 Obituaries -r Paul Hunn Services for Paul E. "Bud" Hunn. i. 'I Hv Homer Davis, SALEM H. Homer Davis, 81, 407 Greenwood, Muscatine, died 'r Wednesday at his home.

Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Salem Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Harlan Winter officiating. Burial will be in the Cambrian Cemetery. Visitation is Friday at the Stacy-Lewis Funeral Home, Columbus Junction, with the family present from 1 to 8 p.m.

The son of Evan and Eunice Evans" Davis, he was born Oct. 18, 1902, in Louisa County. His marriage to Fern Cook took 'place Oct. 1, 1941, in Crawfordsville. Mr.

Davis was a retired farmer. Survivors include one daughter. Mrs. Frances Keeler of Davenport; two grandchildren; and one sister, Sarah Davis of Winfield. Cleo Bankhead BOWLING GREEN, Mo.

Qeo Bankhead, 82, 116 N. Court, Bowling Green, died Wednesday evening at Lutheran Homes, Muscatine. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Kirks Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Bowling Green Cemetery.

Visitation begins at 3 p.m. Local arrangements are under the direction of -the eqy M. Wittich-Lewis Funeral The son of Archer Cary and Grace Ella Major Bankhead, he was born Sept. 2, 1901, in Pike County, Mo. He had lived most of his life in Bowling Green.

He was a member of the Second Baptist Church in Bowling Green and the PEO. Mr. Bankhead had been a teacher for 35 years in the Bowling Green School System, retiring in 1976. One brother, Ben Nelson Bankhead of survives. Gloria Dei Lutheran Church or the Durant Ambulance Service.

Mrs. Guttenfelder died Tuesday in -Edinburg, Texas. The daughter of Ira and Estella Willisort Ruggles, she was born April 15, 1901, in Anita, Iowa. Her marriage to Walter Guttenfelder took place Aug. 23, 1919, in Atlantic, Iowa.

He died in 1979. She and her husband had operated Walt's Highway Stop In Durant from 1938 until 1951. Survivors include two sons, Don of Durant and Ray of Fort Worth, Texas; two daughters, Mrs. Herschel (Bernadine) Fitzer of Durant and Mrs. Shirley Hearne of Edinburg; 11 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

One son and a daughter preceded her in death. Etha Wacker WILTON Services for Etha Viola Wacker, 80, were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Zion Lutheran Church. The Rev. Curtis Moermond officiated.

Willis Calusen was the organist. Flower, attendants were Mary Bottoms and Leona Schroeder. Pallbearers -were Jeff Wacker, Don Wyatt, John Wacker, Michael Wyatt, Bill VanAtta, Martin Wacker and Brent Wyatt. Burial was in the Oakdale Cemetery under the direction of the Lacock Funeral Home. Mrs.

Wacker died Monday in Wilton. Darlene Hyde DAVENPORT Mrs. Darlene Hyde, 45, 914 6th St1, Davenport, died here Wednesday evening at the Ridgecrest Health Wing following an extended illness. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Runge Mortuary.

Burial will be in the Indian Creek Columbus Junction. Visitation will be 3 to 9 p.m. Friday. The; daughter of Richard and Rosalie Johnson Reid, she was born Oct. 12, 1938, in Muscatine County.

She had been employed at Struthers-Dunn in Bettendorf. Survivors include three sons, Sherman, Scott and Randy Hyde, all of Davenport; one daughter, Mrs. Pete (Monica) Seitz of Illinois City, El. five grandchildren her parents of Columbus Junction; six brothers, Richard D. Reid Jr.

and Dallas Reid, both of Columbus Junction, Lee Reid of Blackf oot, Idaho, Leland Reid of Graves Lake, 111., Bruce Reid of Wapello and Randy Reid of Libertyville, and five sisters, Ann Honts of Nichols, Mrs. Ron (Charlotte) Masonholder of Chillicothe, 111., Janet Williams of Crawfordsville, Mrs. Ivan Arthur of Washington and Mrs. Paul (Abby) Dickey of Moscow. Extended forecast Saturday through Monday Little or no precipitation.

Continued cool. Highs in the mid 50s to mid 60s. Lows mostly in the 40s. J. Franklin Gabriel COLUMBUS JUNCTION J.

Franklin "Frank" Gabriel, 69, 521 High died suddenly Wednesday evening at his home. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church with Father Walter Helms officiating. Burial will be in the Columbus City Cemetery.

Visitation begins at noon Friday at the Stacy-Lewis Funeral Home, with a scriptural prayer to be recited at 7:30 p.m. The son of George and Elsie Marstoft Gabriel, he was born Feb. 24, 1915, in Louisa County. His marriage to C. Jane Bmty took place Nov.

2, 1948, in Washington. He was a veteran of World War II and had served in the Army Reserves for 28 years. He was a member of the Allen Wright Hanft American Legion Post No. 100 and the Columbus Junction VFW, for which he was past Iowa state commander. Survivors include his wife; two sons, John of Muscatine and Jim of Columbus Junction; one daughter, Mrs.

Bruce (Katheryn) Thoene of LeClaire; eight grandchildren; two brothers, Farrel of Conesville and Glen of Monticello; and two sisters, Mrs. Orval (Wilma) Werner of Nichols and Mrs. Tom (Mildred) Ho-tle of Odeboldt, Iowa. An infant brother preceded him in death. 72, were held at 10:30 a.mrtoday at the RalphJ.

Wittich Funeral Homer The Rev. Thomas Simmons officiated. Herbert Grebing was the I organist. Pallbearers, were Robert Hunn, Brian Hunn, Kenneth Henderson, Cecil Henderson, Geoffrey Hunn and David Hunn. Burial was in Greenwood Cemetery.

Mr. Hunn died Monday afternoon at Muscatine General Hospital, Maurice McDavitt COLUMBUS JUNCTION -Services for Maurice "Mickey'f McDavitt, 76, were held Wednesday afternoon at the Stacy-Lewis Funeral Home. Father Walter Helms officiated. Pallbearers were Fred Everett, John Gartzke, Herb Gartzke and Mike Murdock. Burial was in the Conesville Cemetery.

Mr. McDavitt died Monday at his home in. rural Conesville. Oma Guttenf elder DURANT Services for Oma Guttenfelder, 83, will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at the La cock Funeral Home with the Rev.

L. Jack Ehlers officiating. Burial will be in the Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery, Visitation will be 2 to 9 p.m.Sunday. 1 Memorials may be made to the Pearl Beverly Services for Pearl P. Beverly, 80, were held at 3 p.m.

'Wednesday at the Riley Funeral Home. The Rev. Don Harding officiated. Mrs. Vada Timm "was the organist and Mrs.

Shirley Crumly the vocalist. Pallbearers were Clifford Hall Jr, Dan Beverly, Michael Theobald, John Theobald, Allen Carlisle, Steven Theobald, Jim Theobald and Neal Beverly. Burial was in Memorial Park Cemetery. Mrs. Beverly died Saturday in Crescent City, Fla.
