Following graduation, he worked for General Electric Company in New York state for 10 years, becoming a department head in finance. In 1938 he married Doris Ebie in Paradise, Pa. The couple had three children, Fred Guy and Ann. She preceded him in death in 1950.

He came to Muscatine in 1946 to assist in establishing the finance department at Grain Processing Corporation. He worked for GPC until his retirmenet in 1976 and was executive vice president of finance, planning and development. He also served on the board of directors of GPC. In 1951 he married Eugenia Boynton in Muscatine. The couple had one son, John who was killed in an auto accident in 1981.

He was a member of the Church of the Living Water, a member and past president of the Geneva Golf and Country Club, Elks Lodge No. 304, Triune Lodge No. 641, Davenport Consistory in which he was a 32-degree Mason, and a member of the 33 Club. Mr Hocking also served on the board of directorrs of Northern Gravel Company and was employed there after his retirment from GPC. He also belonged to the YMCA where he served on the board of directors and was a past president.

He participated in Boy Scouts as a member of the board of directors and as a leader and advisor. He opened his home to missionaries from all over the Tyson W. Dunn ALEDO, 111. Tyson W. Dunn, three-year-old son of Mark and Brenda Dunn of Route 2, Aledo, died 16, at St.

Wise of First United Methodist Church of Aledo, and the Rev. Kenneth W. Harris of Westmer Larger Parish of Joy, officiated. Burial was at the Aleck, cemetery. The Reiser-Trimble Funeral Home in Aieao was in cnarge or arrangements.

Hocking Sr. Fred G. Hocking 73, 3 Wilson Drive, died Sunday at St. Lukes' Hospital, Davenport, following an extended illness. A memorial service will be at 10:30 a.m.
